How to Keep Your SUV Clean After a Dog Park Trip (Our Weekly Routine)

Every Saturday morning, my husband and I load up our two dogs Rosie, a 4-year-old Goldendoodle, and Tank, a 5-year-old Boxer and head to Piedmont Park in Atlanta. It's their favorite part of the week. And honestly, it used to be our least favorite part of the week because of what the car looked like afterward.

Mud. Everywhere. Wet fur. That unmistakable dog park smell. And two very happy, very dirty dogs who had zero regrets.

After months of dreading the post-park cleanup, we finally figured out a routine that keeps our Chevy Tahoe looking (and smelling) clean. Here's exactly what we do.

We keep a stack of old microfiber towels in a bag in the trunk. Before Rosie and Tank jump in, we do a quick paw wipe on all four paws. It takes 60 seconds and eliminates about 80% of the mud problem.

Step 2: The Seat Cover Does the Heavy Lifting
